2012 photo of the site of the Hamilton Ave. Bakery. Corner of Hamilton and Graham Avenues.  To get to the bagel bakery you had to go through this alley to the back.  Old Man Cohen's bagels were the only game in town and people lined up at night to get then hot out of the vat.  When he died, he took the recipe with him.

Dr. Morris Joelson in front of his office circa 1915.  He delivered over 10,000 babies in his career.  If you were born in Paterson he probably knew you and your mother.  Dr. Joelson was considered by everyone to be a local hero because of his skill as a doctor, plus he was such a decent man.
